Once I began reading this book I could not put it down. It is a captivating and intriguing story. The Pages delivers a strong reminder of the power of love and forgiveness, and of the importance of having God in your life. It's a must read for everyone!
The Pages is an awesome faith filled book. It's been a long time since I've read a book that I couldn't put down until finished. The Pages provides a window that allows us to see how to treat others with love and kindness,even a person who may be a potential enemy. I have recommended The Pages to our pastor and other church members. This book would make a great Christmas gift.
I really liked reading this novel. The book was well thought out with good development of the multiple story lines. Most importantly, the underlying message was never diluted. It was relatable in a real-life way. Ms. Lane helps the reader remember the precious love of God in a gentle, empathic way. The wealth of different types of characters and the use of humor, mystery and plot twists leads to an enjoyable read.
The style in which this book was written is unique to say the least. The book was written by several members of Paula Lane's family, paragraph by paragraph and creates a view from several directions and provides great insight into the love of family, and the joy of forgiveness. I found myself returning to the pages of the "Pages" unable to keep my mind on other things until I had learned just what the mystery of this gift entailed. I was not disappointed with the end result. I learned that it is easier to build a rail at the top of a cliff, than to build a hospital at the bottom.
I read this book during the summer and couldn't put it down. Written by several members of the same family, the characters are well developed. There are many unexpected twists and turns. The ending was satisfying and surprising - something I enjoy because I don't like predictable endings, even though I try to guess. When I wasn't reading the book I was thinking about the characters and wondering what would happen next. This would make a great read for a book club. It is an especially suitable book for families to read together - a quality way for families to spend time - reading with youth. I whole heartedly recommend this book for adults, teens, and as a read aloud for youth.
